Home Sweet Home Again!!!
It was 8 o'clock on a warm summer morning. The date was Saturday, August 1st in 2009. A home was burning! A few hours later, only the remnants of a burnout remained. The venue had been home for Ms. Stewart for over 40 years. It was her homestead --- free and clear! Now all that was left were the ashes and the land upon which they lay. Five years later, she remembers the day as though it happened yesterday.
In December, Ms. Stewart received an awesome Christmas present. WREM Literacy Group, Inc. obtained a grant to rebuild her home. The void left by the loss of her home will soon be filled with a 3 bedroom, 2 bath home, with a carport.
Over the years, Ms. Stewart never lost FAITH that God would send her a home to replace the one she lost. Her new home is scheduled for completion in May of this year.
